2005-’06 Lost Midwest championship to Miami at Notre Dame. Miami went on to finish fourth at Nationals. We received an at-large bid to Nationals and were paired to play Michigan State (won NCCC) in the first round (#1 in the country going into the tournament). After our loss to MSU we beat Carelton

(Heartland Champion), Yale (New England Champion) and Northwestern (Big Ten Host representative). By winning out we finished ninth at the CWPA National Collegiate Club Championships which is the highest we could have after a first round loss. Notre Dame finished ranked 7th Nationally in the final poll of 2006 (ahead of MIT and Rice who finished above, but did not play the Irish at Nationals). Kristy Bohling was named first team All-Midwest, Bridget O’Neill was named second team. Coughlin was named Midwest coach of the year. Team Captains were Kristy Bohling, Katie Lancos and MC Cimino.
