The Notre Dame MBA program hosted 30 prospective students on Dec. 3 for the first of its Preview Days. Attendees came from all over the U.S., including Los Angeles; Houston, Texas; and New York. The day began with a breakfast and welcome from Kristin McAndrew, director of admissions. Next, representatives from our Career Services and Student Services teams shared information on career recruitment and student life in South Bend.
Four of our esteemed faculty members from the Communications, Finance, Management, and Marketing departments gave an overview of the classes they teach and general information about their respective departments. Then, attendees got a glimpse of a typical class session in Foundations of Business Ethical Conduct from Prof. Joseph Holt. It was a very engaging session regarding two ethical business situations: one that affects us currently and another hypothetical situation.
Over lunch, seven current students led a panel to address questions of various topics such as club/committee activity, career progression, and the Notre Dame MBA culture.
The day ended with a campus tour highlighting notable locations: the Hesburgh Library, Notre Dame Stadium, the Main Building, the Grotto, and the Twin Lakes. We received many compliments on the day and look forward to hosting another round of prospective students at the next Preview Day scheduled for Feb. 4, 2017.
