The Company
Theatre Grottesco was formed in Paris in 1983, and moved to the United States in 1985. The company is dedicated to the creation of modern, original plays that incorporate classical and contemporary forms of movement and theatre in a continual search for new styles. This is explosive, visually-oriented theatre designed to rekindle interest in the art form while offering a fresh perspective of humanity and American culture.
In the company’s ten year history, Theatre Grottesco has created seven full-length plays and 20 shorter pieces, garnered an international award for Best Production, and performed throughout a good deal of the western world.
