  • The wdr process used at Saint Mary’s is effective

  • Kevin’s suggestions for hold-request-letter-01-00
    • Agreed to revisions, will put in place and test.
  • Launch date: February 10
    • Will begin moving pieces to production Feb 3.
Updates
  • Vendor Services
    • Shelf-ready approval in production
    • Working on cataloging issues (item linking, missing data in HOL)
    • ebrary DDA in production
    • Next up: Print DDA for BIOS
  • Storage
    • Planning to send 1 million volumes off-site
    • Possible new facility close to campus
    • Environmental scan of 6 libraries
  • Saint Mary’s involved in Shared Print Collection
    • 32 Indiana libraries (22 are PALNI members, some IU branches)
    • Database of print monographs

  • Install in test 1-2 weeks prior to Oct. fall break
SalesForce
  • Ex Libris’ new customer service portal
  • Need to have an individual customer center account
  • Takes up to 72 hours to get SalesForce account
MALC Deliveries
  • Need to meet with MALC to answer questions from Lou Jordan
    • If we use our own van run, there will be added costs, e.g., staffing and van
    • Federal Millage rate
    • How much time/run
    • How many runs/week
    • Can we report actual pickups & vary the route?
  • May start with Info Express if Van runs haven’t been worked out.
Updates?
  • ND faculty and grad student due dates of May 31
    • Visiting Faculty: End of semester
    • ND Visiting Faculty at other MALCs will get default due dates (28 days) unless they are specifically added
  • BC faculty due dates May 31

  • New Aleph Team Blog
    • Will need to log in to edit/post
    • May require log in for viewing in the future (for confidentiality reasons)
    • Let Aaron know if there are any permissions or login problems.
  • Inter-MALC Delivery
    • Some of the setup in done on Paul
      • Need to check loan permissions (will need to set in Prod)
    • Concerns about van routing, problems etc.
      • ND->SMC->HC->BC->HC->SMC->ND
      • ND Vehicle pool available if van is out of commission
    • Need to notify ILL. What if a patron places an ILL request that happens to be available at another MALC?
    • Do we want permissions to allow staff-initiated cross-MALC requests?
      • From a service standpoint that would be great
      • This is not as big of a hurdle as borrowing/view loan lists
      • Need to talk with Laura & Tracey (May be training issues)
  • On-line Access Tab (Primo)
    • Discussed problems with merged records
