The Hagia Sophia is one of the top architectural buildings to visit in Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in 537 A.D. as the cathedral for the capital of Constantinople and was the largest Christian church in the eastern Roman Empire. It has served as a mosque, a museum and cathedral throughout the centuries. In 2020, it was once again converted into a mosque.
