Rabat, Morocco

Rabat is the capital city of Morocco and was founded in the 12th century. Located on the Atlantic coast, it is an important location for the textile industry and is noted for its carpets, blankets and leather handicrafts.

This year, three Notre Dame students will be learning the Arabic language in Rabat:
