Though miles may lie between us, we’re never far apart, for friendship doesn’t count the miles, it’s measured by the heart

Hello! My name is Savanna Klee and I am so excited to be studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea this summer! I’m originally from Rochester, New York, and my home under the Dome is Johnson Family Hall. I’m majoring in Psychology and English with minors in Korean and Linguistics.

When I’m not in class, I choreograph for the Notre Dame Dance Company, serve as an Advising Fellow for Matriculate, work for Sara Bea Accessibility Services, and participate in the multilanguage reading club. I chose to study Korean because one of my best friends from high school is from Seoul, South Korea. She taught me a little bit of the Korean language and introduced me to Korean music, dramas, and food. After learning Korean for two years here at Notre Dame, I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned in a real world setting and learn more about Korea’s culture and traditions.

Through this amazing opportunity to study abroad this summer, I hope to practice the skills that I’ve learned in the classroom, meet new people with a variety of diverse backgrounds and experiences, and overall become a more global citizen.
