Jobs fill your pockets, but adventures fill your soul

Jaime Lyn Beatty

Currently, I have an International Economics major with a concentration in French, and I have a particular interest in business, specifically international trade in the Francophone part of the world. I enjoy learning about investing and business, and some of my personal interests include being part of the Investment Club and SIBC as well as reading books from successful investors like John Bogle. I would love to be able to travel the world when I am older and invest in businesses and projects in different countries to help with economic development and prosperity.

Spending my summer in France will be the best opportunity for me to radically improve my speaking and listening ability, so I will be able to work in some Francophone country in the future and potentially even have an internship to help prepare me for a job in business. This summer is going to let me experience French culture and society for the first time in my life, and I am super pumped to be able to meet people around the world at Montpellier and take part in all what Montpellier has to offer.
