Benjamin Rascon Gracia is a sophomore studying Political Science and Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame with a minor in Public Service. He is civically engaged as the Partnerships director for the Notre Dame College Democrats and has co-directed a lobbying project for undocumented residents to have driver cards in Indiana. As a Kellogg International Scholar, he works with Professor Scott Mainwaring, who studies contemporary comparative politics in Latin America. He is passionate about expanding economic equity and anti-poverty measures, so he will be studying Portuguese in Brazil this summer, where he will build necessary language skills for his future research on Bolsa Família and anti-poverty measures in Brazil.
