The Citadel of Amman is called Jarabal al-Qal’a in Arabic, and is the top tourist site in Amman, Jordan. Amman is the capital and largest city of Jordan, and the country’s political, economic and cultural center. The Citadel is not the only ancient site in Amman, as it has evidence of settlement as early as the 8th millennium BC.
